A blog for bluegrass fans to talk about bluegrass or whatever and to check up on the Java Brothers Bluegrass Band from Radford, Virginia. We are progressive, but pretty much only to the extent that we'll play new songs as hard driving bluegrass. We love Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, The Seldom Scene, JD Crowe, Tony Rice, Sam Bush, the Country Gentlemen, the Beatles, the Stones, and all the greats.

Side Door Sessions
We've got a big show planned for October 15th, 2011. The Java Brothers and the Porch Loungers will be there, and other friends, too! As usual, doors open at 7 and music starts at 7:30.
We're always looking for more acts and ways to improve the Sessions. Please send all suggestions to me at chris.burgoyne@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you.

Yes, I included the word honey. Not in a strange way, however. Not that there's anything wrong with that.......

Hey Wayne, This is Jonathan, one of your former employees at the hospital. Just thought you would be interested to know that my family is going to have Bluegrass bands and a Jam ever Friday night from May 1st until the end of October. They have converted their barn into a dance hall/performance space. You should check it out.

Jonathan, great to hear from you! I'll try to get a couple of us together soon and get up there to check the jam out!! Keep an eye on this blog, and you'll see a couple of dates coming up that the Java Brothers will be playing around here locally.
