Did you miss me?

sorry I couldn't make the jam, dudes. I was out sick from work today and it would have been downright unseemly to be out jamming after that. Don't think I wasn't tempted though.
After a while I figgered my headache wasn't going away whether I was home or jammin', but upon further review, my head did still hurt, and I figgered 55 banjos might not be a help.

Gimme a report, and I'll see youz at the party next week!

I missed you Mr. Gurney...although I also was not at the jam as I'm sitting here in my hotel room in Chicagoland.... hope the jam was good. I hope to make it next week for the Christmas get together...

Only one banjo, but a trio of dueling dobros: Larry, Bill, and the new guy Tim Pak who just moved to the NRV this fall.

I introduced myself to another new guy -- believe he said his name was Wayne -- who arrived late after pinning a badge or a medal or a corsage or some sharp piece of jewelry on his betrothed. Way to go Angie! Second in command at the RPD. Some of us were wondering, if she ever had to arrest Wayne -- which is entirely possible -- which magistrate would she haul him in front of? Would she have to take him before himself? That's a sorta "I'm My Own Grandpa" if there ever was one.

Anyway, for the sick and the out-of-towners, the jam rolled along fine. Kinda laid-back. Looking forward to a more kick-a$$ event next week when we're all together again. Just in time for the holidays!

We're really proud of Angie's accomplishment's. She was and is the first female to attain rank at RPD, and is now the first ever female deputy chief. We can all say we knew her back when.........

The jam was pretty good as far as I was concerned. Along with the three dobros, there were 3 fiddles and two mandos. Of course, there was the mandatory 25 guitars and one bass! It was a good time, though. It was good to finally pick with Ralph again. We figured it had to be the last side door jam session that we had played together. Now, we need to get the entire JB's crew out for the big party on the 15th.

Think we are planning to get together and carol for the businesses around 6pm. The real fun begins at the usual time.

Hope to see everyone there!!
