A blog for bluegrass fans to talk about bluegrass or whatever and to check up on the Java Brothers Bluegrass Band from Radford, Virginia. We are progressive, but pretty much only to the extent that we'll play new songs as hard driving bluegrass. We love Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, The Seldom Scene, JD Crowe, Tony Rice, Sam Bush, the Country Gentlemen, the Beatles, the Stones, and all the greats.

Side Door Sessions
We've got a big show planned for October 15th, 2011. The Java Brothers and the Porch Loungers will be there, and other friends, too! As usual, doors open at 7 and music starts at 7:30.
We're always looking for more acts and ways to improve the Sessions. Please send all suggestions to me at chris.burgoyne@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you.

correction - empty mason jar of white lightnin'...
Jo and I left Saturday night, or Sunday morning at 2AM and it was still going strong. Looked for mason jars, didn't find any or we would have stayed. Next year I'll have to bring my own or hang around with Joe.
